Arsenal have announced the signing of Belgian Brighton midfielder Leandro Trossard.

The Belgian left Brighton after three and a half years at the club to join Arsenal for £26m ($32.2m).

The player signed a long-term contract. Earlier media reported that the Belgian will sign an agreement for 4 years. Trossard will wear number 19 for the new club.

Arsenal have signed the 28-year-old to strengthen their position in the squad for the Premier League title. At the moment the club is in 1st place with 47 points.

Trossard is Brighton’s top scorer. In 16 Premier League matches, the player scored 7 goals. He also has two assists. At the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, the player played three games for the Belgian national team.
