It became known that Chelsea London reached an agreement with Monaco to sign a contract with Benoit Badiashile. Frenchman now set to complete a £34 million move.
According to sources, both clubs were able to reach an agreement on the transfer of the player and Chelsea are now planning to officially sign the player after the 21-year-old undergoes a medical examination.
As you know, Benoit Badiashile missed the match with Monaco, which should play with Brest in the 17th round of the French championship.
The reason for the omission was that Chelsea continue to work on the transfer. The English team are set to strengthen their squad this winter transfer window.
Chelsea are currently ninth in the Premier League after 15 games and a stronger squad could help the club succeed this season.
Badiashile is likely to be Chelsea’s second signing in the January transfer window, after the club signed Ivorian striker Datro Fofan from Molde for £10m.
If the transfer is successful, the player will be able to make his debut for a new club on January 5. Chelsea will play Manchester City in the Premier League 2022/23.
