Croatia (under 21) will play with Romania (under 21) in the 3rd round of the group stage of the youth Euro 2023. The match will take place on June 27th.
Croatia U21
The Croatian youth team has already lost all chances of qualifying from the group. The Croatians suffered two defeats in two matches, losing first to Ukraine (0:2) and then to Spain (0:1).
Prior to that, the Croatian youth team played two control matches in March and November. The team turned out to be stronger than Poland (3:1) and England (2:1), and also tied with Austria (1:1) and Israel (0:0).
In qualifying for the Euro, the Croatian team became the second in its group. They let Norway go ahead, but bypassed Finland, Austria, Azerbaijan and Estonia.
Romania U21
Meanwhile, the Romanian youth team is one of the hosts of the tournament, so they did not qualify. However, despite the fullness of the native stands, the team could not show themselves worthy and have already lost their chances of reaching the playoffs.
The youth team of Romania lost two matches, first losing to Spain (0:3), and then failing to score points in a duel with Ukraine (0:1). As a result, Romania cannot please the fans even with a goal scored.
In March, the youth team also held control games. The Romanians first lost to Portugal (0:2), and then played a goalless draw with Germany.

Both teams lost their chances to participate in the tournament, and there will be no motivation before this game, but Romania should please with goals, as they will play in front of their stands.
Most likely, this game will end in a draw, but it is clearly not worth counting on a scoring match. Croatia and Romania were not ready for this tournament.
