23-year-old Elena won the Grand Slam tournament for the first time in her career. Her best Grand Slam result before winning Wimbledon is the Roland Garros quarter-finals in 2021.
It was also the first Wimbledon 2022 final, as you know for Ons Jaber.
Ashleigh Barty of Australia won Wimbledon last year. The champion of the current draw for the victory will receive £ 2 million and zero ranking points, as the WTA has deprived the tournament of points due to the suspension of Russians and Belarusians.
