Europa League draw results 2021/22

The draw for the renewed Europa League took place on 13 December in Nyon. For the first time, a full-fledged playoff of the tournament begins with the warm-up – the hidden stage 1/16.

How was the draw?

The eight clubs that finished second in the Europa League group stage were seeded. The eight clubs that finished third in the Champions League group stage were unseeded. The pairs were formed accordingly, with the seeded teams playing the return match at home. Clubs from the same association were bred by different pairs.

All teams are divided into seeded and non-seeded. The seeded return leg will be played at home.

Seeded: Betis (Spain) Braga (Portugal) Dynamo Zagreb (Croatia) Lazio (Italy) Napoli (Italy) Olympiacos (Greece) Real Sociedad (Spain) Rangers (Scotland).

What will happen next?

The winners of the 8 pairs of 1/16 finals will then join in the 1/8 finals to the 8 winners of the Europa League groups, including: Lyon (France), Monaco (France), Spartak (Russia), Eintracht ( Germany), Galatasaray (Turkey), Crvena Zvezda (Serbia), Bayer (Germany) and West Ham (England).

The draw for this stage will take place on 25 February.
