Gareth Southgate to stay as England manager

It has been revealed that manager Gareth Southgate will remain in charge of the England squad after the 2022 World Cup are eliminated.

The coach has decided to remain in power, although he has not yet informed the Football Association of this.

It had previously been speculated that Southgate planned to leave after the World Cup, believing there was too much negativity surrounding his performance after a disastrous UEFA Nations League campaign.

Southgate and his assistant Steve Holland are now looking to take England to the European Championship in Germany in 2024.


Kane responds to missing crucial penalty in World cup quarter-final defeat to France

As you know, England striker Harry Kane reacted to the fact that he did not score a decisive penalty in the quarter-final match of the World Cup with France.


Southgate’s current contract runs until the end of this year and he is now determined to honor it as the Euro qualifying campaign kicks off with tough matches away to Italy on 23 March and home to Ukraine three days later.
