Manchester United have signed a three-year contract with midfielder Christian Eriksen

Manchester United have announced the signing of new Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen. Who has now become an official player of the club.

The 30-year-old solidified his position in midfield after deciding not to stay at Brentford, where he enjoyed an impressive loan spell last season.

Denmark international Eriksen will not be joining United’s pre-season tour of Australia due to a long flight from the UK.

The move would see Eriksen reunite with the club’s head coach Ten Hag, who helped the midfielder recover from a cardiac arrest he suffered at Euro 2020 by inviting him to train with Ajax during his rehabilitation.

Manchester United showed patience in pursuing Eriksen, as he understood that his choice would not be based only on football.

Eriksen and Man Utd had a verbal agreement, which was subject to a medical.

The player had a very successful, very thorough review, after which they announced a three-year contract.

Not surprisingly, after a successful half of the season at Brentford, Eriksen has gained elite-level fans. The midfielder completely changed the fortunes of the Brandford team, which went from relegation candidates to mid-table defender within weeks of Eriksen’s first appearance.
