UEFA announce decision to keep Euros tournament limited to 24 teams

UEFA has officially confirmed that the expansion of the European Championship from 24 to 32 countries has been cancelled.

On its official website, UEFA has announced that no changes have been proposed for the EURO final tournament and that 24 teams will continue to participate.

As you know, qualification for the European Championship will be held with the participation of teams divided into 12 groups of four and five teams. The winners of the European qualifier groups will be automatically included in the tournament.

On Wednesday, January 25, the UEFA Executive Committee decided to move the meeting from Kazan to Athens, Greece. The game will take place at the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium on 16 August.

In September 2022, UEFA did not allow the Russian team to the draw for the qualifying tournament of the European Championship-2024.
